The main objective of this publication is to analyze the scientific production in biomedicine and heatlh sciencies of the Valencian Comunnity during the period 2000-2004. The study was conducted using the Science Citation Index and Social Science Citation Index. Bibliometric indicators have been used for the analysis of scientific production (works and authors), dispersion, impact of research and scientific collaboration. Among the main findings it can be highlighted that researchers form the heath care sector , signed for 52.1% of the scientific papers while the university sector signed only the 44.9%. |
