Popis: Reference to previous work represents a conceptual association of recognized scientific ideas that are beneficial for the citing author. I.e., a reference is an express recognition of an intellectual compromise towards a previous source of information. After all, advancement of science is supported by previous research. At present, the way to know and to measure the importance of a published item comes through its posterior citations, circumstance that obliges scientific journals to control the pertinence and relevance of the cited work. Therefore, when submitting a manuscript for consideration to a scientific journal, it must be beard in mind that the included references will be examined.
