The growth, development and the activities carried out by the "Compañía de Mercaderes de Libros de la Corte" from 1758 to 1763 is analyzed from a set of commercial brochures. The reasons for the starting of this company despite the precariousness of the book trade are analyzed. Several data of interest for Madrid booksellers who belonged to this company are also gathered. |
