The project “Public understanding of Science” realized by CNR with the cooperation of the British Council aimed to promote a public debate between students - of school and university – and specialists on scientific themes of public interest; a first experiment had as subject the issue of the genetically modified organisms. The primary aim of this project has been that of allow the student to have an active role in the debate. The hypothesis verified through this experiment is that the kind identity has an effect on the science representation, on the ideas worked out on some aspects of the scientific development as on the relationship between science and society. |
