Popis: The book “Cervical Cancer: Contemporary Management” is a complete guide to the treatment and management of cervical cancer. Cervical cancer used to be the leading cause of cancer death in women worldwide. The book begins with the screening, diagnosis of cervical cancer and then it discusses on pathology, surgical management, radiotherapy and chemotherapy and management of the disease recurrence. The role of chemotherapy, which has represents the only treatment option for the majority of patients with recurrent or metastatic disease, is reviewed in section 5. The role of imaging techniques in cervical cancer, special case scenarios are described in later sections. Section 8 deals about the specialty of Palliative Medicine, which entails the simultaneous management of the physical symptoms along with the psychological, social and spiritual aspects, are illustrated.
