Ramon Mullerat O.B.E. is a lawyer in Barcelona and Madrid, Spain; Avocat a` la Cour de Paris, France. He is an Honorary Member of the Bar of England and Wales and an Honorary Member of the Law Society of England and Wales. He is a former Professor at the Faculty of Law of the Barcelona University and an Adjunct Professor of the John Marshall Law School, Chicago. Mullerat is a former member of the European Council of the Emory University, Atlanta. He is also a former President of the Council of the Bars and Law Societies of the European Union (CCBE) and a member of the American Law Institute (ALI) alongside being a member of the American Bar Foundation (ABF). He is a member of the ABA Task Force on Attorney-Client Privilege and member of the ABA Center of Human Rights. He is a member of the board of the Institute for North American Studies and former Chairman of Commission 2020 of the International Bar Association (IBA), Co-Chairman of the Human Rights Institute (HRI) of the IBA, member of the Board of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and Chairman of the Editorial Board of the European Lawyer. He is a member of the Justice Observatory of Columbia and also member and secretary of the Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation of Catalonia. Mullerat is the President of the Association for the Promotion of Arbitration (AFA) and member of the External board of the Iberian Lawyer. He is also Director of International Law Master of the Superior Institute of Law and Economy (ISDE). He is the author of numerous books, articles and publications and he writes and lectures frequently around the world on company/commercial law, arbitration law and legal ethics. |
