The first Czech monograph dedicated to Entente Cordiale and the evolution of international relations that led to its signing. The agreement contained the Convention between the United Kingdom and France respecting Newfoundland and West and Central Africa, the Declaration between the United Kingdom and France respecting Egypt and Morocco with five Secret Articles and the Declaration between the United Kingdom and France concerning Siam, Madagascar and the New Hebrides. Through signing off the Entente Cordiale on April 8, 1904 France and Great Britain settled their colonial disputes and started a cooperation, which inaugurated the formation of the blocks that clashed in the First World War in 1914. |
