Protetické v- v češtině

Popis: This book is concerned with a salient feature of Spoken Czech, namely prothetic v-. It is used in informal speech in Bohemia (the western part of the Czech Republic) and in western Moravia (the eastern part of the Czech Republic) and occurs before otherwise initial /o/. Thus, in Spoken Czech forms such as okno and vokno may be used to convey the same meaning (‘a window'), whereas only okno (without v-) may be used in Standard Czech. Prothetic vmay be used virtually before any word-initial and stem-initial /o/, e.g. o vs. vo ‘about', on vs. von ‘he', oba vs. voba ‘both', odemknout vs. vodemknout ‘to unlock', naopak vs. navopak ‘on the contrary'etc. It is an interesting case of linguistic variation which has not so far received much attention.
