Popis: Introduction: 3D printing in distal humerus fracture surgery has not been evaluated despite increasing popularity. Methods: A retrospective study comparing distal humerus fracture surgery pre-operative plans to actual surgical plans and constructs was conducted using radiographs, CTs, 3D CT reconstructions, and 3D printed models. Results: No difference existed among imaging modalities for approach or plate size. 3D CT reconstructions best predicted lateral plate size. 3D printed models best predicted medial plate size. 3D printed models elicited higher confidence in pre-operative plan. Discussion: 3D printed models were an equivalent tool for pre-operative planning compared to other modalities in our study.
