Popis: The purpose of this article is to evaluate the labor influence on schooling results considering the micro data from the PNAD 2006 (National Residence Sample Survey). A statistical model was developed, aiming to explain the school discrepancy between age and years of study from a sex variable and considering the labor factor as a control variable. The results indicate that labor damages the boys' schooling process more effectively than the housework affects the girls, with worse results for black boys and girls, but this variable alone cannot explain the greater school discrepancy in male subjects.
