Popis:	This work aims to understand the project of social expropriation of the Brazilian state apparatus, analyzing the notion of managerial administration applied to public institutions. The study observes the period of President Fernando Henrique Cardoso’s government, between 1995 and 2002, emphasizing the state reform carried out. The work uses the notion of capital-imperialism to identify the theoretical bases that supported the idea of managerial reform that was put into practice at that time.
