Popis: It was aimed to evaluate the residual effect of doses of Nitrogen (N) applied in pastures of Brachiaria brizantha (Marandu and Xaraés) for two consecutive years on the production of corn for silage in crop-livestock integration system. The nitrogen fertilization of grassland was held during two consecutive years, using four dosages of nitrogen (0, 100, 200 and 300 kg/ha/year). These areas were dry to no-till corn. Was used a basal fertilization of 70 kg of N/ha for maize cultivation, applied in coverage. Agronomic evaluations were carried out (stand, height of plants and insertion of cob, number of spikes, number of grains on the cob and stay-green) and corn production (production of silage dry matter production, production of spikes) collected from point of silage. Dosages of N applied in pastures only affected the percentage of ears of corn and the cob weight. There was interaction between dose and cultivate for the percentage of dry matter of the bracts and the amount of rows of spike grains. The residual effect of nitrogen after growing Marandu pastures and Xaraés does not affect subsequent crops, making it necessary to total fertilization of culture. Keywords: forage production; Marandu; silage; spikes; Xaraés.
