Popis: The objective of this article is to show the commitment of Franciscan pedagogy in the construction of identity of the Franciscan University in Colombia. That is, it seeks to inquire about the responsibility that Franciscan pedagogy has with identity in four Franciscan universities in Colombia. To do this, three interconnected scenarios are proposed: it starts from the relationship between Franciscanism and the university that emerges from the first Franciscan fraternity; next, is analyzed the conception of Franciscan pedagogy declared by each of the Franciscan universities in Colombia; finally, inter-institutional cooperation lines and actions areproposed between the Franciscan universities of Colombia, aimed at responding to the challenges that globalization poses to the modern university.The research is eminently documentary-descriptive with a non-experimental qualitative approach, since a critical analysis prevailed from the review and analysis of intentionally selected bibliographic material. Consequently, the categorical analysis was used as a technique in the terms proposed by Corbin and Strauss, which starts from a categorical analysis followed by a comparative study with theoretical sampling.
