Popis: | This article analyses the U.S. military intervention in Afghanistan and Iraq. These protracted campaigns have not only tested the American military might; but they have also revealed the changing face of conflict and the limitations of the so-called new American way of war born after the so called Revolution in Military Affairs (RMA). Those circumstances are compelling Washington to undertake a comprehensive review of the force and command structures, the catalogue of military capabilities, the global deployment plans, and to redefine the American defense transformation process as a means to provide the U.S. military with the necessary capabilities to meet the current and future challenges. |
