Popis: | The phenomenon of universality in an architect’s creative work is examined in the article. Syncretism in artistic expression is characteristic for architects from the earliest cultures up to the present times. Nevertheless, the concept of the Master, which had a meaning of syncretic creator not only in the Renaissance, but also earlier, has radically changed due to the processes of fragmentation and specialization in contemporary society. A deeper research in the topic and its actualization is required in order to emphasize the importance of universality in an architect’s activities, not only in the process of formation of artistic and architectural objects, but also in other contextual issues. |
