The objective of this study was to identify the behavioral competences described in the literature in managers working in the field of sport. This is a bibliographic research with a qualitative approach. The terms used for the initial search were: leadership, sport, sports teams, (behavioral competences) “sport management”, respecting commas, parentheses, and double quotes. Studies published between January 2016 and September 2021 were considered. The findings indicate that there is a considerable gap in the investigation of the performance of sports managers with regard to their relationship with their peers. There is still a trend towards diagnostic identification of process management to the detriment of people management. |
