Popis: Temples are treasures of art and symbols of Tamil culture. The Sangam literature reveals that there were temples to Gods including Lord Shiva, Lord Murugan and Lord Thirumal two thousand years ago. The temples are built on the Aahamam basis. The temples will be built to include the sanctum sanctorum, the sanctum sanctorum, the mandapam, the maha mandapam, the mukha mandapam, the nandhi mandapam, the flagpole, the altar, the tower gate and the circumference hall. These are all philosophically based. In general, scholars who have studied temple systems and temple philosophies are well-versed in theology. But the people who go to temples and worship them are ignorant of their philosophical techniques about them. Professor Subbu Reddiar had written about the high philosophy of temples in his book “Saiva Siddantam Oor Arimugam”. It can be easily understood by common people through the simplification of such in-depth philosophy of Tamil culture. Hence, the main purpose of this article is to document the simplification of the theories of Prof. Na. Subbu Reddiar's philosophical approach to the temple.
