Popis:	A checklist of the birds of Kurdistan Province, western Iran, is presented based on records of avian species whose presence was confirmed in the area as a result of field surveys conducted from 2010 to 2018, literature review, and personal communications from researchers. This edition of the checklist includes 310 species of 23 orders and 59 families. Accepted English names, scientific names, authority, remarks on taxonomy, status, habitat, vernacular names in Kurdish, and conservation status pertaining to the birds of this region are given. Our work comprises the first ornithological document to cover all the bird species recorded to date in this province.
