Immigrants Haitians in Brazil: between processes of (de)(re)territorialization and social exclusion

Popis: The present work aims to understand the migratory movement of Haitians to the southern region of Brazil. In order to do this, it is tryed to analyze how these immigrants arrive to the country, what are the motivations that lead them to immigrate and how occur the process of (des)(re)territorialization in Brazilian society. In its first reflections, it shows the interrelationships between globalization and migration in contemporaneity. As a result, based on critical reading of journalistic materials, it is presented the context, the motivations, the adaptation process and relations with the Brazilians made by Haitian immigrants. Finally, its reflection on the intense processes of (des)(re)territorialization experienced by these immigrants, who left their homeland attracted by the possibilities of better life conditions. Concludes that these people is forced to the new bond in Brazilian society on condition of “unwanted”, whether due to the phenotypic differences, whether by their economic conditions or by cultural differences, leaving them to occupy the “empty” left by native workers in the work market.
