Popis:	Technology transfers are currently undergoing a normative evolution, strongly encouraging academic researchers and their teams to commercialize their respective discoveries and developments. Based on an analysis of a spin-off company set in the oldest European science park, around the mid-1980’s, we put forward the hypothesis that this norm, currently dominating the academic world, only got locally imposed by conflicting relationships between pioneer researchers, acting at the borders of their institutions, and their managers. The institutionalization of this norm in the academic, industrial and public sectors can only be understood through the transformative actions of these researchers and their innovation capabilities.
