Popis: Founded in Montparnasse in the middle of the 20th century, the office of Jean Dubuisson will become during the decade one of the most dynamic agencies in Paris. To respond to the inflation of his order book, Jean Dubuisson is building a human and material organization, which reconciles the values of emulation and those of efficiency. It draws on a cosmopolitan, young and highly qualified pool: its success is based on the skills of loyal right-handers and high-level practitioners, from Olivier Vaudou to Michel Jausserand. Their interventions are orchestrated, in favor of a renewed creation, while promoting a formal and stylistic relationship between the projects. All of them share common aesthetic values, turned towards the avant-garde, which they confront with a sustained production rhythm. The study is based on administrative records from the office of Jean Dubuisson (pay sheets, contracts, certificates of competence) generally neglected by historiography. These documents are cross-checked with archives or printed sources relating to the agency's collaborators. These documents allow us to consider a more collective studio.
