Popis: Retrotransposons are mobile genetic elements normally repressed by DNA methylation in differentiated cells. Here, the authors show that DNA hypomethylation in mouse induced pluripotent stem cells allows retrotransposons to jump, but this can be blocked with a reverse transcriptase inhibitor.
