Assessing the maturity of profession-oriented foreign language communicative competence of technical students

| Popis: | The article is devoted to the problem of assessing career-oriented foreign language communicative competence among students of technical specialties of universities, the complexity of which is due to its multicomponent structure and the need to take into account various criteria for an objective assessment of its formation. In the course of the study, criteria are identified that ensure a qualitative assessment of career-oriented foreign language communicative competence among students of technical specialties. Theoretical and empirical methods were used: analysis of scientific literature on the research problem, synthesis, concretization, comparison, generalization, observation, pedagogical experiment. The scientific novelty of the study consists in the formulation and substantiation of criteria for the formation of components (subcompetencies) that are part of a career-oriented foreign language communicative competence: linguistic, socio-cultural, strategic (compensatory), discursive and professional. The practical significance of the research results lies in the revealed possibilities of assessing foreign language communicative competence of technical students. |
