Popis:	The paper investigates the theoretical approaches to the economic crisis and provides a classification of crisis phenomena in the economy. Based on comparative analysis of existing approaches to the economic crisis, particular attention is paid to structural crisis. The author concludes that the situation in the agrarian sector is not subject to the traditional classification of economic crises. The author proposes to supplement the classification to include the systemic crisis. Having considered the theoretical approaches to defining the concept of a systemic crisis, the author determined that the unity of opinions on this issue does not exist. Based on this the author clarifies the concept of a «systemic crisis» and suggests the characteristics and signs of a systemic crisis.
