Popis: Synchrotron radiation at the ESRF was used to scan an uninterrupted uniaxial compression test of Expanded Polypropylene samples sourced from two automotive component suppliers. The samples, nominally 80 kg.m-3 were compressed at a constant quasi-static rate of 10 μm.s-1, avoiding an interrupted, stop-start approach that has previously been adopted for scanning cellular solids.
