Popis: | The article analyzes firms involved in globalized circuits of fresh fruit exports, and theinterfaces between firms and territories. With a focus on the Argentinean sweet citrus production andspecifically on one productive space, it is interested in the construction of global circuits and its impactson local spaces and actors. Drawing upon a combination of quantitative and qualitative sources atypology of companies and indicators of anchorage are developed, in order to uncover the "black box" ofcorporate action. The analysis shows different degrees of territorial anchorage on the part of firms, andvariable combinations of fixation and mobility in their behavior. However, the adoption of amultilocalized structure, oriented to take advantage of the peculiarities of the different settings, leads tothe disarticulation of spaces according to their productive and socio-institutional character. It promotesthe construction of flexible agents, transforming their reproduction in contingent. |
