Popis:	This article discusses the advantages and disadvantages of using silver compound-based preparations for topical treatment of wound infections. Comparative clinical studies showed the advantages of topical silver preparations that were used to treat the wound process. It also describes the advantages of sulfathiazole silver as a topical agent for the topical treatment of wound infections.
