The new Platinodesmini tribe (fam. Chelodesmidae, Diplopoda) is formed, with those genera that have in common, in addition to other characters, the modification of the coxae of the first pair of legs in the male. The two species of platinodesmus (P. argentineus and P. cordobensis) are discussed and illustrated; Diagnoses and figures based on type of Stachyproctus species (S. cameranii and S. codicillus) are provided, Misidentified items S. codicillus and all indications belong to S. cameranii, Astrophogonus is based on Polydesmus henselii Karsch; this is redescribed on the basis of the original holotype. |
