Popis: Efficient manipulation of magnetic order with electric current pulses is desirable for achieving fast spintronic devices and the Rashba-Edelstein effect provides a mean to achieve staggered spin-orbit torques. Here the authors show a generalized Rashba-Edelstein effect generating not only spin polarization but also orbital polarization.
