Experimental extractable work-based multipartite separability criteria

Popis: Quantum optics: work probes quantum correlations Quantum systems share links like no classical systems can—now we know this can affect engines too. There exists a principle that links the amount of information one experimenter has on a system with the amount of work they need to erase that information. In this manuscript, it has been investigated what difference it makes when the information distributed to many experimenters is generated by exchanging photons that share quantum correlations. It has been found that more work is required when these correlations are present, and the information on this extra work is used to understand how and how much the photons were originally connected. Since this work has its origin in quantum correlations, these results are a first implication that quantum-correlated photons allow to build engines with superior performance.
