Popis: Purpose. The article is devoted to the issues of cultural and communicative adaptation and successful integration of migrants into a foreign environment. The subject of analysis are text fragments from English-language blogs that are kept by migrants working or studying in China. The authors aim to study the linguistic features of the cultural and communicative adaptation of migrants. Methodology. The research is based on the analysis and synthesis of empirical material, its generalization and classification, as well as linguistic observation and definition analysis. Results. The results of the research are that the authors have discovered that each stage of cultural and communicative adaptation is associated with an individual’s experience of certain emotions that are recorded in the migrants’ personal Internet diaries, i.e. blogs. In the texts of blogs, emotions and experiences of migrants in the process of cultural and communicative adaptation are transmitted through the use of emotional units (lexical and grammatical) and are marked on a graphic level. Practical implications. The results of the research can be applied in further research work related to the study of linguistic features of cultural and communicative adaptation, as well as in the development of special training and programs to ensure the successful integration of migrants into a “foreign” environment.
