Popis: | Rheum rhabarbarum is widely used in China to treat gout and constipation. We assembled and annotated the complete chloroplast genome of R. rhabarbarum. The length of the chloroplast genome is 161,723 bp, including a large single-copy (LSC) region of 87,004 bp, a small single-copy (SSC) region of 12,761 bp, and a pair of inverted repeat (IR) regions of 30,979 bp. The chloroplast genome included 130 genes, consisting of 36 tRNA genes, 8 rRNA genes, 2 pseudogenes, and 84 protein-coding genes. Phylogenetic analysis confirmed the position of R. rhabarbarum within the family Polygonaceae. |
