This article analyses how contemporary Catalan literature deals with the disappearance of the peasantry and proposes new ways of understanding and inhabiting contemporary rural space. Divided into three parts, it will first work on the poetics of the disappearance of the rural world of yesteryear and on the literary proposal of a new way of understanding rurality. The second part will focus on how the historical narrative of the rural past aims to recover a rural collective memory that allows us to understand its disappearance. Finally, we will work on the new narrative forms that allows us to depict condition of rurality nowadays. |
