SPIRITUAL AND MORAL EDUCATION AS A MEANS OF COUNTERACTING YOUTH CRIME

Popis: The lack or misinterpretation of spiritual and moral guidelines of young people significantly affects the formation of their destructive thinking and behavior. Nowadays, the issues of spirituality and morality have been increasingly raised and discussed in the scientific community. This topic acquires particular relevance when studying the causes and conditions of youth crime and determining ways t o identify and eliminate t hem. Purpose: to justify the need and importance of spiritual and moral education as a means of counteracting youth crime, to develop proposals for the effective implementation of this direction. Methods: dialectical method, a set of general and special methods of scientific knowledge (analysis, synthesis, comparison, analogy, modeling, etc.). Results: in order to counteract youth crime it is proposed to create a program (or framework) of spiritual and moral development of society, which will disclose and systematize knowledge on spirituality and morality with an emphasis on the presentation and explanation of the basics of the laws of the spiritual world and specify a list of activities in various directions that contribute to the mastery, development, preservation and strengthening of spiritual and moral values among young people.
