Popis: Biliverdin reductase (BVR) catalyses the last step in haem degradation. Here the authors present the crystal structure of cyanobacterial BVR bound to its substrate biliverdin and oxidised cofactor NADP+, which was used to propose the catalytic mechanism of this enzyme.
