Popis: | In this paper, I will discuss the figuration of the dandy character in the field of literary production. Initially I discuss its origin during the nineteenth century in French and English contexts. In order to understand this characterization, I will analyze the characterization of the characters of the novels À rebours by J. K. Huysmans and The Picture of Dorian Gray, by Oscar Wilde. As a methodology I intend to search in the field of literary studies which are the formative elements of the dandy in the works of the above mentioned authors. |
