Objective: To evaluate the role of soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase-1 (sFlt-1) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) for prediction of pregnancy loss in patients with history of unexplained early recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL). Methods: A prospective case control study was conducted in 42 women with history of unexplained early RPL, and 170 pregnant controls with history of uncomplicated pregnancy. We measured maternal serum sFlt-1 and VEGF at gestational age 6–9 weeks as predictor for pregnancy loss.
