Popis: | The article presents an analysis of the Gezi Parc movement in 2013 and situates it in a more general and transversal reflexion on the new forms of contestation, ranging from arab spring to indignatos in Europe. The author defends the thesis according to which the Gezi Parc movement should be understood as the re-inscription of the personal in the public space, anchored in micro practices and politics of the every day life. In this sense, it does not present itself as an organized political movement. The public place, the public square becomes a place of habitation for new forms of personal-public expressions and global contestations. New democratic imaginaries are deployed by means of visual arts, individual and collective performances and the use of humor. Art becomes an intrinsic part of a new public culture and creative contestation in the enactment of new forms of citizenship in the public square. |
