A better schedule for the CEFET Campos system: A software to automate the elaboration of class schedules

Popis:	After research carried out on the CEFET Campos system, a software has been developed aiming at offering more comfort and agility to the user via the automatic making of class schedules. Although the program is not yet spread on the system, the application is available for the community in a preliminary version. The computer program searches for the best timetable by means of combinatorial optimization heuristic, considering the constraints. In accordance with institutional rules, the research is presented here as follows: the underlying mathematical problem and its conceptual model are detailed in the article, as well as the algorithm created for the program, and the features and functions of the software.
