Cross-cultural studies of a Polish scientist Paul Boski are focused on the phenomenon of economic migration as related to ethno-cultural characteristics of migrants. He advanced the hypothesis about the leading role of employment and financial well-being in the process of adaptation, and proposed four lifestyles typical for labor migrants with different statuses.
