Popis: | The COVID-19 pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 is the greatest medical problem of our time. The presence of concomitant cardiovascular pathology (CVD) in a patient predisposes to a severe course and the formation of adverse outcomes of COVID-19. It is currently known that SARS-CoV-2 infection leads, on the one hand, to exacerbation and decompensation of the patient's CVD, and, on the other hand, it is the origin of acute CVD. Understanding the impact of COVID-19 on the cardiovascular system is essential to provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients. In this review, we summarize the rapidly changing data on cardiovascular damage associated with COVID-19. |
