Popis: The subjects' learning occurs through various means and they all depend on how people process the information that is made available to them. Thus, the construction of knowledge occurs according to the learning style of each individual. This research was designed to diagnose the learning styles of the undergraduate students in Chemistry, according to Kolb's proposal and to reflect on the possible methodologies and evaluation instruments that corroborate with the knowledge construction of these subjects. This is a case study with a qualitative-quantitative approach, with data collected through document analysis and application of questionnaires. The divergent learning style was predominant among students in the 1st and 7th periods; in the 3rd period the usher and in the 5th period, the styles assimilator and divergent. We realize that the instrument proposed by Kolb is an excellent method for guiding teachers in the teaching and learning process.
