Popis: | In the last few decades, considerable research effort has been spent on understanding the performance of concrete specimens incorporating recycled aggregate. Several studies have attempted to add coarse recycled aggregate (CRA) to transversely-unreinforced concrete beams that have been tested for shear capability in order to meet sustainability goals. Over sixty-eight investigations, including sixty experimental studies, have been conducted on this topic, according to the current review effort, which shows that there is a contradiction in the effect of maximum CRA replacement ratio on the concrete strength, due to the presence of the adhered mortar, with the 30 % CRA having a reasonably less detrimental impact on the shear strength of concrete beams. The review covers recommendations and potential methods to handle it for cleaner concrete production and applications. It also highlights the sources, processing, and restrictions on the usage of the CRA. |
