| Popis: | Two species of hermit crabs, Calcinus morgani Rahayu and Forest and Diogenes klaasi Rahayu and Forest of the family Diogenidae, are recorded for the first time from the Indian coast. Calcinus morgani inhabits the intertidal rocky area along Thirumullavaram beach, Kollam, while D. klaasi was collected from the mangrove swamps in Ashtamudi Lake, Kerala. |
