Mediating Role of Resilience in the Relationship Between Religiosity and Psychological Well-being in Iranian older adults

| Popis: | Objectives Given the increase in aged population and the challenges and problems associated with aging, planning and policy-making to improve the quality of life of older adults is of crucial importance. This study aims to investigate the mediating role of resilience in the relationship between religiosity and psychological well-being in Iranian older adults. Methods & Materials This is a correlational and cross-sectional study that was conducted in 2022 in Mianeh county in East Azerbaijan province, Iran. Participants were 319 older adults (aged ≥60 years) who were selected using a convenient sampling method and based on inclusion criteria. The tools used to collect data included the Glock and Stark’s religiosity scale, the Connor-Davidson resilience scale, and Ryff psychological well-being scale. The collected data were analyzed using correlation test and path analysis in SPSS software, version 26 and LISREL software, version 2.10 applications.
