Popis: The dentigerous cyst is the second most common type of odontogenic cyst that affect maxillary, attaching to crown of retained or ectopic tooth. Its finding is generally radiological, although there are some of them that due to their position and relationship with surrounding anatomical structures could grow and cause significant facial asymmetries like ones described in this study. A 17-year-old male patient referred to the Maxillofacial Surgery service of the Kitui Hospital, in Kenya presenting an increase of volume in the right side of face, with oral, ocular and nasal manifestations. The computed tomography scan revealed an unilocular radiolucid, expansive, isolated injury localized in right maxilla, with sclerotic rim expanded to right maxillary sinus, moving the lower nasal cornets upward, destruction of infraorbital rim, an non-outbreak tooth piercing the right orbital cavity. The roof of tooth were in the inner part of the injury. The results of the biopsy confirmed a cystic content. The procedure performed was the reconstruction of infraorbital rim with miniplates.
