This is a diplomatic-interpretative edition of the manuscript Sollevazione di Tommaso Aniello di Napoli, written by Alessandro (Fra’ Sebastiano) Molini in the 17th Century. The introduction highlights the importance of the engravings inserted in the codex by the author. Since the end of the 19th Century many historians had been interested in those images because they depict main characters and places of the Neapolitan uprisings. The paper also offers a manuscript’s bibliography and the list of catalogues owned by Biblioteca Universitaria di Bologna. |
