An Ethnolinguistic Study on the Lexicon in Haul Bungah Tradition

Popis: | This research aims to identify and explain the meaning of various terms contained in the lexicon of Haul Bungah tradition and the cultural values reflected in these terms. The data of this research are terms related to aul Bungah tradition. The research method used is qualitative, with data collection techniques through participant observation and in-depth interviews. Recording and note-taking were also done to support data collection. The results showed that 17 terms are often used in the Haul Bungah tradition, which can be categorized into two forms, namely monomorphemic and polymorphemic. Based on the two forms, this research found 4 terms in monomorphemic form and 13 terms in polymorphemic form. The cultural values reflected from the lexicon in the Haul Bungah tradition include human relationships with God, nature, society, others, and oneself. |
