The paper explores curatorship's role in relation to public art interventions in urban spaces, with a particular attention to cases where they are part of urban regeneration processes. Through the analysis of Without Frontiers, an Urban Art festival that has been organised by Caravan SetUp Association in Mantova, the author aims at describing one of the possible curatorial approaches to art in public spaces. The contribution problematizes themes such as the definition of the role of the curator working in urban contexts, its differences compared to the museum curator and the possibility to adopt museum strategies in urban public spaces. |
