The use of stylistic terms, periodization of 19th-century architecture, particularly historicism, and Renate Wagner-Rieger’s method of organizing the text within monographs on the history of architecture of cities or areas according to building types have had a remarkable influence on how similar topics are treated in Croatian art history.
